Homebirth Services Directory - coming soon!
Our directory of homebirth midwives will always be free for midwives to join and for the public to access - we want to make it as easy as possible for women to get in touch with a midwife in their area. However, we are looking to expand this directory to include doulas, birth photographers, breastfeeding consultants, placenta encapsulators - anyone who provides a service that homebirthing women and their families could find useful.
The cost for Professional Membership with Homebirth Australia is $40 a year and includes a listing in our directory with links to your business website and social media, plus a short description and photo detailing the services you offer. It includes advertising on our social media platforms and newsletter.
If you are a professional birth worker or have a service you think would be beneficial to the homebirth community, please email us at info@homebirthaustralia.org.

If you are looking for a local midwife you can try the below options.
This map has been collected by various local homebirth advocacy groups, our committee’s knowledge, and HBNSW survey responses. If you find that the details are incorrect, please contact us so we can keep this up to date. The blue markers are for midwives and practices, and the purple markers indicate publicly funded homebirth services run via hospitals. Hospital based programs providing homebirth services are financially covered by the public system, but tend to be more restrictive in acceptance criteria and locations served.
We have tried to include information as to if the midwives are registered and/or endorsed.
