I offer placenta medicine grounded in traditional practices I was taught by a midwife in Latin America. This approach honours the placenta as the baby’s tree of life, preserving its imprint to be returned to the earth, while working only with the maternal side. From this, I create a range of preparations to support postpartum recovery and beyond, including encapsulated placenta, tinctures designed to serve you and your family over time, as well as oils and balms. Where needed, I also offer traditional Chinese steaming methods prior to dehydration for placentas exposed to meconium or medications. For families who prefer not to consume the placenta, or where it has been stored for some time, I offer keepsake options to honour its significance. These include placenta drums, prints, moon silhouettes, and cord dreamcatchers.
