Local Homebirth Groups

Local homebirth groups are a great way to connect with local homebirth passionate parents. You will find these groups a great resource when it comes to general information about homebirth, and also a great support network for you during your pregnancy and postpartum periods. Homebirth groups often organise meal trains for new mums and pass on homebirth and baby supplies when they're no longer needed.

If there are no homebirth groups in your area, why not start one yourself?

Homebirth Organisations

Homebirth New South Wales (formerly Homebirth Access Sydney)

Homebirth NSW is a Not For Profit, community-based organisation.
Our focus is supporting homebirth families across the region and increasing access to homebirth services in NSW.
Homebirth NSW maintains a directory of midwives, doulas and birth photographers as well as great member benefits including discount codes to partner organisations and the popular Birthings magazine. HBNSW also has an online store where you can buy books and previous issues of Birthings magazine.

Homebirth Queensland

Homebirth QLD is  is a not-for-profit and volunteer-based organisation. We are a group of mothers, Midwives, Doulas, and our families connected by the vision of enabling true choice in childbirth. We view birthing as a family rather than as a medical experience, an event in our lives where we celebrate the birth of our babies rather than their deliveries.
Homebirth QLD maintains 'The Big List' - a list of midwives, doulas, birth photographers and complementary therapists on their website and has a great range of merchandise in their online store.

Homebirth Network South Australia

Homebirth Network SA is a volunteer run organisation -  women, mothers, support people, fathers, families, siblings and so much more! - who consider homebirth a safe and natural way of birthing.
Through our website and Facebook page we provide information and resources about homebirth including information on how to plan homebirths, birth stories and research articles. We also provide details of midwives, doulas and midwifery group practices that offer homebirth in South Australia.
