Special Invitation for General Practitioners

We have scheduled a special panel discussion for the third day of the conference - Saturday the 13th of February at 1:30pm AEDST - titled
'Collaborative Care: Working Together for the Best Outcomes' which will be of particular interest to GP's and midwives in private practice
(click on the button above for more information on speakers and full conference agenda).

In an effort to raise awareness of homebirth and encourage collaboration between birthing women, their GP's and private midwives, Homebirth Australia would like to extend an invitation to General Practitioners to attend this panel discussion free of charge.

To take advantage of this offer, please send an email to coordinator@homebirthaustralia.org

Continuity of care and collaboration between care providers and consumers is essential to ensure a positive experience and positive outcomes for women during their pregnancy and birth.
In this panel discussion, we will discuss ways that Privately Practicing Midwives and General Practitioners can work together when their client is planning a homebirth. We will explain the process of referrals and why it is necessary for women to claim a Medicare rebate for their pregnancy and postnatal care.
Attendees will be able to ask questions of our panelists in a Q&A chat at the end of the session.
